新一期英國《自然》雜志刊登報告說,,患有前列腺癌的實驗鼠在接受激素治療后常出現(xiàn)一系列反應(yīng),,最終導(dǎo)致癌癥更嚴(yán)重地復(fù)發(fā),,而在這個過程中一種免疫細胞的“叛變”扮演了重要角色,。
美國加利福尼亞大學(xué)等機構(gòu)的研究人員報告說,,由于前列腺癌細胞的生長需要睪丸激素,,因此目前常用其他激素抑制睪丸激素的作用,以控制前列腺癌發(fā)展,。這一方法可延長患者數(shù)月或數(shù)年的生命,,但隨后常出現(xiàn)更嚴(yán)重的復(fù)發(fā)。
研究人員經(jīng)對患病實驗鼠分析發(fā)現(xiàn),,導(dǎo)致上述現(xiàn)象的原因是激素療法可引起前列腺發(fā)炎,,而炎癥又引來免疫細胞B細胞,原本幫助身體和疾病斗爭的B細胞這時釋放大量淋巴毒素,,使前列腺癌細胞的生長不再需要睪丸激素,,于是癌癥復(fù)發(fā)并更難治療。
如果設(shè)法去除實驗鼠體內(nèi)的B細胞以及相應(yīng)的淋巴毒素,,可將實驗鼠癌癥復(fù)發(fā)的間隔延長3至4周,,這大約相當(dāng)于人類的2至3年。
